In traditional medicine remedies, oils obtained from Lemongrass were used in the treatment of various diseases. Used as a tool in aromatherapy to help relieve stress, anxiety, and depression, Lemongrass essential oil has a powerfully uplifting aroma that goes great in food and beauty care products. Traditionally, Lemongrass has been used to treat digestive problems and high blood pressure. Lemongrass is antibacterial and may be used to aid in the healing of wounds and help prevent infection.

Most who love the aroma of Lemongrass, do so mostly likely, because it contains a powerful component called Eugenol, that works like aspirin. It prevents blood platelets from clumping together. Also, serotonin is release, which is a hormone that helps enlivens mood, aid in peaceful sleep, regulate appetite, and aid in cognitive functioning.
