Grapefruit oil has been love at first sniff for many, is a favorite amongst aromatherapists and has become a very popular essential oil due to its invigorating, sweet/tangy aroma. This uplifting and positive mood enhancing smell is not too strong or overpowering and is a great oil for the diffuser. It is used to clear up oily skin and clear acne, stimulate the digestive system, and even boost the lymphatic system. Aiding in immune support and issues with obesity, this essential oil protects against colds and flu, diuretic properties and helps to remove excess water from the body which makes it great for treating cellulite. Grapefruits chemical constituent is the uplifting d-limonene, a commonly used ingredient in hand cleansers because it has the ability to dissolve oils.
