Used spiritually for thousands of years, the Indian Sandlewood tree is considered sacred. The oil is distilled from Santalum album in the Mysore region of India, and the oil is appreciated for its woody, sweet, yet smooth aroma which is known to relax, calm and ground. As one of the few true aphrodisiacs, it is an amazing fixant to any perfume blend. Added to a carrier, can be used on skin and allow its anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal properties go to work. The antibacterial, Sandalwood can also be used as an organic cleaning agent.
